yes b/c somebody might use them to make garden decor and if used outdoors, chips won't matter too much. Also, some people like those flaws as it suggests history to them.

To get the wax splatter off, put it in the freezer for a few hours. It should come off easily after that.

Of course, I'd donate them. That's not like donating a torn shirt or a cracked cup. It may give a touch of elegance somebody's home and not everybody is concerned about nicks and scratches.

Better than throwing them away. Antique Roadshow may de-value them to only $1,000 cause of a chip(??) A Thrift Store might ask 2 bucks for them(??) The freezer tip is great, wax just pops right off.

I'm absolutely certain these particular candlesticks will never be worth $1,000. Well, not in my lifetime anyway.

May be someone has same candlestick set but a few in the set are damaged or missing. The person would pick up your none-damaged ones to complete the set.
