I don't remember the post, but if you are ever planning on removing the tape, I'd use something besides the blue painters tape. I've been known to leave it on woodwork, thinking I would finish up the job. Almost two years later it's the devil to pick off. Guess since you can't remember why it's on your list, you are saved from the hassle!!

Try the green tape. You can find it at Home Depot. I think it comes off easier as it is made for more delicate finishes.

I use it for labelling cords, esp. those with the little recharger boxes on them. Also if I need to temporarily mark a piece of my daughters clothing or a toy she is taking somewhere. I wouldn't put it on anything I really treasured, though...

I remember that blue tape, I used to use it when painting. I tried to buy some recently, couldn't find it in any hardware stores, finally ended up buying regular tan masking tape.

It still exists... got some at the beginning of the year and again in June.
