I want to store a a rack of clothes on hangers in my basement, but it tends to get a little damp down there and I'm concerned that the clothes will get mildewy and worse. Any suggestions? Weatherproof armoires, giant ziplock bags with hangers, etc? TIA!

Get rid of the 'damp' with a dehumidifier.

It's a big communal basement in an apartment building; a single humidifier wouldn't make a dent. Sigh.

Then I would NOT put clothes there.
