| My manhattan apartment has a 12 feet hall from end of kitchen to back exit where we now have to store ironing board, shopping cart, step stool, etc. I'm looking for a very modern perhaps stainless steel organizing system where I can hang these things. Found EZ Wall Organizer but the design is not modern.
Thanks for any help. |

| Have you checked Ikea? Their Grundtal series has a wall bar, with various shelves and hooks that attach to it, plus wall shelves that mount directly to the wall. You can customize it to store what you want. If you need ideas on how to configure the system, go to the Apartment Therapy site and search on Grundtal. You'll get a ton of ideas.

| I suppose the ironing board and shopping cart fold? I'd just mount sturdy hooks on the wall and hang them up. Maria |

| What about stainless-steel pegboard? http://www.carguygarage.com/two16by32inm.html or powdercoated metal pegboard in a bright color? http://www.carguygarage.com/metal-pegboard.html With these guys, there are slats, that are sort of cool looking. http://www.wallcontrol.com/Catalog/Panels/Panels1.htm And tons and tons of hooks (even one in the top row, #10-UH-003, that would be great (in pairs) to hold an ironing board w /T-shaped legs, or the handle of your shopping cart) This stainless-steel pegboard has square pegs; sort of chic looking |

| Those guys w/ the slat-shaped holes even have a laundry kit-- the small version is $35; the large version is $80 I really like the pegboard idea because it lets you adapt so easily as you work with it. Want to hang up keys? a dog leash? a basket to put lunch bags in? a holder for take-out menus, or for junk mail that you want to toss? |
