Life has been hard these last few weeks. Mom is finally out of the hospital and able to care for herself 90%.

Now the house ummmm:NOT kept up.

There wasn't time for routines even. So now I have to get back into the groove and start again.

I will start with the kitchen and LR since those are the most visible if someone came over.

The bathroom is next and then laundry.

Very first thing after church is get the sink shiny. And go from there.

Come on let's encourage each other!!

Next?

    Apart from the usual . . .

Working on the bathroom mainly this week.
    - wipe ceilings and walls
    - window and sills
    - straighten cupboard - DONE
    - wash floor - DONE

    Also intend to
    - clear off the computer desk
    - Tidy hallway cupboard - DONE
    - Tidy linen cupboard - DONE

So I have got off to quite a good start - lets hope the momentum continues!

o finish hanging new MB closet
o unpack all hang-up clothes from u-haul wardrobes into new closet, except coats maybe since I want to put those in a different closet
o unpack all other old MB closet stuff that's in containers and put in new MB closet.

the above should put a good-sized dent in the number of un-packed boxes in my "Box Room", otherwise known as my one-day-be-Guest-room room. I just moved 2 weeks ago.

    Also, intend to
o clean all the cupboards in the kitchen - inside and out
o plan on paper which stuff goes in which cabinets. in old place had a pantry, don't here in new house. need to know where everything goes more or less before unpacking a single box..
o put liners in most (all?) the cabinets
o unpack main dishes (bowls, plates, and main glasses)
o figure out drawer space use... get silverware drawer organizers that work with new drawers
o unpack stainless flatware into new drawer organizers
o unpack knives and utensils into new drawer organizers

o later put up pots and pan rack
    o un-pack pots and pans

o stop eating off of paper and plastic stuff
o fix a meal at home (that's not from a frozen box) for a change!

I probably won't get to the kitchen stuff until next weekend...

But I too hope to keep my momentum going :) As soon as it stops I'm in real trouble as I still have unpacked boxes galore..

    Cheers,

This doesn't sound like "house" stuff but it is crucial for me nonetheless:

This week: tax return, followed promptly by FAFSA. Goal is to complete the FAFSA online at work on Friday.

    Keep sink shiny in interim.

Other than the usual, here's my list.

*Remind DH to look at the dishwasher to see if we can fix it.
*If we can't fix it, call repairman.
    *Caulk bathtub.
*Call sister to arrange for her to pick up a chair I'm giving her.
*Wal-Mart stop for a few items.
*Pick up ring from jeweler who was repairing it.

Since dh informed me this morning that he has invited his boss (who lives in another state) to supper tomorrow night, I must:

Clean out the office and organize the items in it
    Clean the living room/dining room
Vacuum the entire house (I hate vacuuming!)
Do errands and go to post office
The kitchen was already clean so just keep it that way
