What foods don't freeze well? I want to try the once a week cooking to save time, BUT I don't want to sacrifice taste and texture. Are there web addys for site that list this king of info? TIA

RE: basic question

I think most anything freezes well. I find things with lots of cheese or milk are okay but not as good as originally made.

Potatoes do not freeze well. I would not freeze a stew with potatoes or a shepherds pie. The taste and the texture of the potatoes changes for the worst. Ann.

RE: basic question

Generally potatoes do not freeze well, but mashed potatoes prepared with milk, butter etc. do just fine. I do this all the time. I know some folks freeze hash browns and partially cooked french fries, but I don't much care for the frozen ones.
