With everything thats going on, does anybody stock up non perishables, and water, ect. in case of an emergency? I'm slowly getting into once a week cooking, and think it's probably wise to stock up on non perishables. What do you think?

RE: Stocking up,in case of an emergency?

I always keep some bottled water and extra canned foods in case of a snowstorm, power outtage, tornado, etc. that will keep us a few days in case the local stores close. I am not one to do any long-term planning/stocking. Even with the recent events in terrorism and the Y2K thang I just haven't had that inner "alarm" go off where I felt it would be necessary.
