Freeze My Stir Fry Vegetables??

Posted by legacy5 (My Page) on

I want to make my own packets of frozen stir fry vegetables using onion, brocolli, peas, and carrots. Should I blanch or steam these veggies before freezing or what? Thanks in advance for your help.

I am not a wiz in the kitchen, so I probably should not be answering this BUT, all I can say is that I have a Food Sealer and they recomend that you blanch veggies before sealing to stop the ripening process. Hope that helps!

Veggies really should be blanched before freezing...It only takes a minute and it is worth the effort in keeping them tasting fresher........MHO..
