They are good served in a simple chicken broth, maybe with a little Parmesan sprinkled over. Also, try serving them with a little basil pesto sauce.

I love it with a creamy sauce (you can make it fairly "light" by using milk instead of cream) and cubed ham and peas. (About 1 c. of ham and 1 c. of defrosted frozen peas for 2 people) Or with alfredo sauce (butter, cream, parmesan and garlic) and a bit of crisp crumbled bacon. Also delicious with the marinara/tomato sauce and some lightly sauteed zucchini.

I love it with butter, salt, papper, garlic powder and onion powder. Also good if you sautee mushrooms, garlic, onion, red and green pepper cut in strips, and spinach and mix it in with some parmesean a little butter, you can also add a chopped up tomato too.

I love them served with cream sauce, Prosciutto and peas. Also good with alfredo sauce with just enough marinara mixed in to color it pink. Or a fontina cream sauce.

I typed this whole thing and somehow it didnt take. I will try once more. This is a great side dish. Tortellini Salad. I use the frozen, tricolor. Prepare the tortellini and drain. Then in large bowl, add 1/2 cup olive oil, 1/2 cup lemon juice, and i packet of Good Seasons zesty Italan dressing -- dry just the powder from the envelope. Mix well, add tortellini . Then add 1 choped green pepper, some chopped onion (like 1/4 cup or so),2 chopped plum toamatos, and 1 can of black olives, sliced. Mix all well, cover and refrigerate. To be honest, I usually dont do the olives and its still great. |
