I make this and freeze it-- its great

2 cans kidney beans
2 cans baked beans
2 cans butter beans
2 cans pork n beans
2 cans navy beans
2 pounds ground beef browned
2 pounds bacon browned and crumbled
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1 tlb. mustard
1 cup brown sugar

mix everything in large crock pot ( i use a roaster)bake 3-4 hours--freezes well--you may also add more of each of these items for a larger batch--

Thanks for posting this. I made them last night and they were great. My dh really like them. Plenty to warm up today since it's going to be chili. I made enough to freeze too. Thanks again. Deb_NE

Mmm!
I tried this a couple of weeks ago without the bacon and it was great! It should be even better with the bacon!! Thanks for sharing!

RE: Cowboy Beans

It is a good recipe, and if you add a can of crushed pineapple you have "Calico Beans"

Darlene, Butter Beans are the same as Lima Beans. Ann
