We have these in one of my workplaces, and they don't work flawlessly. The operatory sinks will sometimes not go on even if you are waving your hands like crazy. Then they will go on spontaneously at full blast when you aren't anywhere close. There is no manual override. The toilets do not flush automatically all the time either. However, they do have a separate push button, luckily. One restroom though, every single toilet or urinal would flush as you walked through the room: I used to skirt the wall trying to see if I could get by without it happening.

Bad first heading...sorry first time poster I have been trying to decide on appliance and in the high end 30" DF range have narrowed my choice down to Wolf and Monogram. I also have my lower end two choices but for the time being I am wondering about the delay start or shut off timer feature of the Wolf. I have never had that feature before, and intrigued with it since this stove will be at a second home where we are often at the beach or doing outdoor activities like cross country skiing with family or guests. Not that I am advocating using an oven when I am not around but it means whoever is home would not have to deal with it while I was out and about. Would it not ruin whatever was cooking since it will take time to preheat the oven with the food there and also at the end time as the oven cools down? Do people just use it to preheat the oven for when they need it? How often or how practically useful is this feature. I tried to search the forum but couldn't really find any answers. I also perceive the meat probes in any of the ranges as difficult since you have to insert them using oven mitts which can't be easy and there are many meat thermometers with even portable units you can take with you to monitor. As I realize reading this forum I at least don't feel alone by the vast amount of knowledge to learn, filter and decide what is ultimately important to me as a cook. Overwhelming indeed, especially when you get very good deals and two good brands similarly priced (and extremely discounted below MSRP). Thanks in advance.

After much shopping around and when I mean "much" I truly mean it. After looking at Miele, KitchenAideand Wolf I decided Bosch offered the best induction for me. I went for 36" induction, 30" wall oven with microwave/convention/speed oven. So far loving them all especially the induction, it's everything I hoped it would be and more. I find I use the cooktop more and the microwave less because I can reheat things quicker via induction than microwave! Flexi zone is great but finding it hard to find a grill pan to fit as I don't won't to spend $350 on a Bosch one. Crazy pricing. The top is so easy to clean. My only thoughts are if you are looking for something impressive in your cook space this isn't it, but I wanted function over looks. Yes I would have loved a sleek six burner chrome gas range but I didn't want all the cleaning that goes with it. I find the response time amazing on the induction from boiling rapidly one minute to a slight simmer seconds. It melts chocolate beautifully and so far I haven't burnt a thing. The timer is useful for my kids as they sometimes forget they have put their mac and cheese on to cook. Great for boiling eggs as the induction element will turn off when the time is up. No more burnt-out saucepans for me. Once I have figured out how to transfer my pictures of my cooktop and oven I will do this. I truly believe with the flexi-zone and the timer the Bosch beats Miele and Wolf hands down. Why they didn't add these features to their induction I have not idea.
