It's too hot to cook so what is everyone eating? I'm already getting sick of salads, hamburgs and hotdogs. There has to be something else. Please fill me in.

Either early in the morning or later at night, I've been baking chicken and then have it for cold chicken salad, or to heat in the microwave later. Even had some chicken and noodles the other night since I only had to heat one burner for that.
Got some ham and made ham salad too.
I've been trying to heat the kitchen only in the early morning or late evening and then I can use the microwave to reheat something for meals. Meatloaf, lasagna, casseroles can all be made ahead and then refrigerated or frozen. Made a pot roast in the crockpot since it didn't heat up the kitchen. As long as my family will heat hot meals I'll try to make them just not during the hottest part of the day

Get creative! Try a roast on the grill! Just be sure to place coals indirectly-not right under meat. If you don't have a cover, do what I do-Use a big stock pot right over the top. You also might want to use a meat thermometer for accuracy as the outside could look quite done using this method, way before the meat is done.
