My husband and I have two wonderful boys, but during the summer we are always on the go. Both of our boys play baseball and horseshow, and my husband also rodeos. I am tired of feeding my children fastfood from restarants. Does anyone have any ideas for things that I can cook at home but in a hurry??

Thanks!!

Brandy this whole forum is filled with good ideas for things that are quick and easy. There is also a thread at the KT (I'll see if I can find it) Check out some of the OMAC websites for lots of good ideas...

Here is a link that might be useful: The Kitchen table thread

RE: help me cook in a hurry!!!!

Hi, I haven't been here in a while...I figured I'd post my Tortellini soup recipe here instead of at the KT..

2 cans chicken broth
1 can beef broth
1/2# bulk italian sausage
1/2 a bag of frozen mixed vegetables
1/2 a bag of frozen cheese tortellini (i use the whole bag)
1 small jar Spaghetti sauce (Ragu, Prego, what you like)

combine broths in soup pan, bring slowly to boil. meanwhile, brown sausage, breaking up. when broth comes to boil, add veggies, simmer 8 minutes. Then add Tortellini and DRAINED sausage; simmer 10 minutes. Add Spaghetti sauce and heat thru...sprinkle with Parmasean, serve with bread...salad...quick and good!
