| We eat a lot of chicken breasts over a weeks time.. I would like to cook up a ton and seal it in a big bag in the friedge so we can just open bag, toss in a pan to warm up with whatever type of seasoning we want at that time.. Will it keep the chikcen good in the fridge for a week?? In general how do meats hold up to vacumming? |

| The same principals apply to refrigerated meat, without regard to whether it is in a vacuum-sealed bag, a plastic zip-lock bag, or some sort of container. Vacuum-sealing doesn't give meat a longer refrigerator life, like it does things like lettuce. It's frozen meat that has an extended life. Cooked Meat, Poultry, and Fish Leftovers |
