Exterior Remodel--What do we do with this brick??

We bought a house several months ago and are torn on what to do with the exterior. The biggest issue is this brick we have..it is rough textured, with buff, orange-brown and dark brown colors. We don't want to paint it because it will require us to keep painting it, dying it will cost about $7k, and covering it with stone will cost about $10k if we do it ourselves, and then it won't match our 60ft brick wall, that currently matches the house. There is a lot of this brick obviously, and it's in good shape, so we are trying to make it work. The siding we are considering is Apex fiberglass and LP Smartside reverse board and batten. Most recently, we are considering blue siding with buff trim (since it will match the brick), although I prefer white. Other options we are contemplating are beige or brown siding with contrasting beige or white trim. Ideally, I'd like dark gray shakes, stacked ledgestone, and white trim, but that's not going to happen...keep in mind we are on a large lake that is more like an ocean since you can't see across to the other side. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you in advance!
