| Hi,
Anyone have pictures of what style crown moulding was typically used in 1912 Edwardian homes? We have a 3 piece moulding in the entrance way, living room and dining room. Is is made up of a simple cove moulding (with no fancy details, curves), then a 10" board and then a picture rail. We have added on a couple of new rooms where this 3 piece arrangement won't work well and we are just going to do a basic (one piece) crown moulding instead. We planned to simply use the cove that is used in the entrance way, living room, etc. (without the other 2 pieces below), but DH is afraid that it might look too plain. What do you think? Thanks! |

I don't know how typical it is, but here's mine from a 1913 "transitional" home--some Victorian, some Arts and Crafts features. |
