Is a 68 rim to rim claw foot tub period appropriate

We are adding an addition to our 100 + year old four square variation house. While we are buying a new tub we are trying to keep period appropriate. We are buying a cast iron Cheviot rolled rim claw foot tub. Originally we chose the 61 inch tub but seeing the cut out in our bay window and sitting in the space it seems too small. They have a 68 inch option rim to rim. Both are 31 inches wide and both 24 inches in height.

I see most posts say 5 foot is most appropriate option. I am 5'7" and my husband 6'3" ( although I will be using it most of the time.

Advice on 68 vs 61 inch? Thanks
