stucco from home depot applied like paint

Has anyone used the stucco in 3.5 gal buckets from home depot which can be tinted & applied like paint? I bought a small 1964 painted cement block house in florida & added 1000 sq ft new unpainted cement block addition. Mortar lines & blocks do not line up with original house & mortar left to dry on outside. Horrible job. want to roll on stucco over entire house, but imagine new block must be sealed or primed first. Any info/help appreciated

Be careful about applying anything to the blocks. The first coat sticks (hopefully) to the blocks. The second coat sticks only to the first coat. So be sure that whatever you apply first is really the proper material.
