Radiant Barrier Paint

In the early stages of adding new rooms to our house, we have discovered the possibility of radiant barriers. With cathedral ceilings and shingles already on the roof, we are considering Radiant Barrier Paint, but wondered if anyone has any experience with this and, if so, any recommendations.....

I have no experience with it.
It apparently works to some degree but maybe it shouldn't be called a radiant barrier paint as I think its actually considered a low emittance paint. It seems to rate a weak positive merit as a alternative by the energy experts.

If you can get to the area to paint, can't you staple up a real radiant barrier ? Then you'll know you've done something with exceptionally merit.

One of the major ;name brand; popular paints sells a purportedly decent low emittance paint. I forget which though.
