Hardy plank siding versus Amazing Siding

Help,
Has anyone had any good or bad results from using either of these? I know that the amazing siding cannot be painted and is only available in a few colors. And that the Hardy siding will have to be repainted every 10 years or so. Thanks for the help!

I am very impressed with our Hardy... but do know that they SAY you can hand hammer it... well MAYBE if you are the jolly green giant or Paul Bunyon.. but for the average gy or gal an air nailer is going to be your best friend. Mind you it was the BEST money we ever spent.. that and the HARDI -BLADE for cutting the stuff.. but I don't regret doing our add-on in hardi at all.

We put hardy plank to replace some wood siding that had rotted away. Installation was a breeze (my FIL did it while we were on vacation!). He hand hammered it, and he's not a big guy (I suspect he pre-drilled holes). Painted, it looks like wood. We're very pleased with it. Now we need to replace some other trouble spots.
