Could someone give me detailed instructions on how to apply roll roofing on a pitched roof? |

| I haven't used roll roofing before, but I have done other kinds of roofing. So I kind of looked at a few of the links that I could find as though I were going to do it myself. This is the link that made the most sense to me and didn't seem to skip any of the steps that were mentioned in the other five links that I read. Good luck and I hope this helps. |

| How long do you want the job to last? Plain old felt has a short life since the sun braks down the asphalt. Double coverage roll roofing has granules on half the width, and is overlapped and cemented down with either hot tar or cold patch. If you want something that will last even longer purchase a sheet of EPDM membrane. There are a number of vendors that sell sheets of various sizes. |

| What is the roof slope? There are self-adhering sheet roofing materials with a granular surface that avoid much of the nailing and cementing of traditional roll roofing. |

| It's pointless to offer recommendations or instructions about a roofing system without knowing the slope of the roof. Even roll roofing would be installed differently at different slopes. |

| Okay, using a folding rule and a conversion chart ,(if I did it right) the pitch is 4-in-12. |
