| I plan to build a detached garage with a metal roof. In southern Maryland, I was quoted $9.00 sq ft. for material. If you have recently worked with a metal roof, please let me know if you think this is a realistic price. Thanks |

| I think the standing seam metal roofs are more expensive. We put a corrogated metal roof on a glasshouse/shed building. We got the panels ( 2 feet by 10 feet) at HD and did not have to cut any of the panels. They just overlap. Then you add a ridge cap that HD sells also. Not expensive at all, just very utilitarian. It also comes in other colors, but this worked for us.
