Narrowing in on the house build date :)

Found an 1885 bird's eye view that shows my house and its twin/neighbor. So it's 10 years back from the previous "can't be younger than" date.

The railroad went through between 1878 (early work) to 1880-81 being actually open for business. The house has some of the original metal casement windows according to a local window guy. He couldn't spot any traces of older wooden windows, such as the lintels and side supports, that we can see on some of the houses we know were built in the 1870s.

The rolled steel casements were trendy, modern, and proved you could afford to have them shipped in by rail - so best guess is build date of 1880-1884. That narrows my search through the land records considerably.
