I want to add some shutters to my bungalow, and I'm going to make them myself. Does any one know of any sites showing shutter designs so I could get some ideas? Googling "shutters" only gets me the pre-fab cookie-cutter ones made out of vinyl.

RE: Shutters

Google "exterior wood shutters" and you'll get a fairly good mix. I think that the site below has some really great looking things.

Oh, and make sure that you get the correct HARDWARE. Shutter hinges and dogs make a world of difference in the overall look. Real operational shutters that fit the windows always add loads of character and can cost loads of $$. Still there's nothing like them.
