Stain on cedar shingles for the Onion House

Hi- I recently re-shingled the roof of the Onion House with cedar shingles, treated with Sikkens Cetol SRD mahogany stain. After a couple of years, we went to re-apply the Sikkens SRD, and found that the wood had weathered quite dramatically in the intense Hawaii sun and rain.
Is there another product we could use on top of the Sikkens SRD? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would be surprised if any clear or semi-transparent finish could hold up more than one year under your conditions. It's the UV breaking down the binder/resins. You have a ton of UV in your location, and the material is in a full-exposure situation.
Unless you let it weather naturally, yearly maintenance of the finish has to be budgeted for.
