Recently I've been really annoyed by all of our exterior doors (front, back, and garage). On the outside of all 3 of them, the door knob is very close to the frame. So close that if you aren't careful you will very painfully smash your fingers between them when closing the door. Why would this be? Is this the work of a PO that couldn't measure accurately, or could there be some other reason? This isn't some old house quirk, is it?
