| I attended a seminar over the weekend about lime horsehair plastering. It was held at a house museum that was built in 1810 and is in the process of being restored. The seminar was fascinating and very useful too, as my house has lime plaster walls that are in need of some TLC. I don't think I'd attempt to do an entire wall, but I think I have learned enough to at least patch cracks and holes. Does anyone here plaster and if so, do you use lime or gypsum? Any tool recommendations or tips? |

| You do know how long 100% lime plaster takes to cure? Lime putty with plaster of Paris added was far more common. Plastering Skills by F. Van Den Branden and Thomas L. Hartsell is still listed on Amazon. |
