mig welding gas flow rate

I have a clarke 180 mig welder I equiped with gas but need to know the flow rate necessary to get a clean weld without wasting gas.

There should be initial specs in the manual. If you don't have one, Clarke might have one online in PDF format you can copy or just read.

Here's my answer i recommended that u run at around 25 cfh and if u want as low as 20 cfh, nothing lower or u'll be risking weak welds. hope this helps ..

I agree with Lilrockcert -- I run right around 20 ... You can tell when you don't have enough shield pretty fast. Beware that a mig cannot stand any breeze so if you're outside it has to be pretty still.
