decorative paint for forged jewelry

| I want to paint some designs on iron jewelry I have forged, and I would like to make it look antique/faded/chipping. What sort of paint and techniques should I use? There is a photo of what I want the paint to look like at this link - it's the iron daisy with yellow paint:
