curing cast iron stove top

| Does anyone know how to cure a cast iron stove top (Kitchenaid) I just purchased one and am getting mixed signals as to whether it is even necessary, and if so, how to go about doing it.

| I'D WRITE KITCHENAID. OTHERWISE USE THE OLD MEATHOD OF CURING IN THE OVEN. |
