Copper Cookware?

| I am wanting to make a homemade ibrik, or a Turkish coffee pot. What would I use attach the components so that the method was strong enough to withstand high heat but also wouldn't contaminate the coffee? I appreciate any feedback! |

Aren't they usually held on by rivets? At least the ones I've seen. Those should be easy to make and food safe, as long as you use a nontoxic metal lke steel. I've not tried it but what the hay?

Either mechanical fasteners (rivets) or brazing. Or even a thread rivet welded onto the oustide of teh netal and screws.
Be careful if the inside is not tinned. Copper is dangerous in large doses. |
