Metal Studs

I bought some metal studs to frame around some soffits.

Felt it would be easier to snip and work my way along.
However, those metal stud metal scews...they stick out from the surface of the stud a bit...what happens when you install the sheetrock...does it rest on the surface of the screw? Does it intent into the screw. I am envisioning it looking lumpy because it the sheetrock will rest on "top" of the screw at the stud connection to the top/bottom rails, but then suck in a bit on the areas away from the screw. I know I must be interpreting all this incorrectly because they are used frequently. But I am very curious.

RE: Metal Studs

The drywall is normally pressed hard enough to dent over the screw heads.
