Pewter countertop

I have been admiring the gorgeous copper countertops in this forum. There are some very talented people here, and so kind to share!

Californiagirl posted a photo of her pewter counter. It's amazing in her white kitchen. Does anyone have any experience or advice regarding pewter counters. I wonder how they age, and what cleansers are safe on them, but still antibacterial...

What are the chances I could DIY it?

Thanks everyone!

You and me both joanie! Still no updates...let's keep bumping this thread up and hopefully we'll get some interest.

I thought you might like this pewter counter, so pretty with the pulls!

RE: Pewter countertop

Isn't that gorgeous? In my area I have a metal smith that has never worked countertops but he is very eager to try. I still think it's going to be expensive though, even for the bar area I want. I have a very good deal on a absolute black honed countertop vs. a pewter and I am so torn.
