Iron Chandelier base?

| I'm going to be learning stained glass this Fall and am getting ideas for projects. One of the things I'd really like to do is a chandelier made with iron and stained glass. Does anyone know where I can get iron supplies to use as bases for my stained glass creations? Are various wrought iron pieces welded together to make things? If so I can probaby weld them. I don't really know much about iron. But I'd love to learn whatever I can! Thanks for any help you can give me. |

| Correction, I accidentally wrote "welding" when I meant to write, "soldering." I will be learning how to solder, not weld. |
