Old South Bend Metal Lathe

Hi everyone, I am looking for any kind of information on an old south bend lathe that my father got back in the 50's. Unfortunately he has passed away and my brothers and I are trying to get more info on this monster. It is floor mount, about 7 feet long, and made of black iron. The only tag or such we can find just says south bend and gives no model number or anything like that. I do have a couple of pictures if anyone wants to have me email them. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

check out the following two links and i think you'll be able to find quite a bit of information. also, if you subscribe to yahoo groups, there are a few south bend groups with plenty of photos. given the fact that it doesn't have model or serial #'s on it, i suspect it may be something made in the 20's or 30's - see the lathes.uk link.
