Metal Folding Instructions

Posted by Peterbog (My Page) on

Does anyone know where I can find instructions on how to make simple bends with a metal folder (brake). I'm considering whether to rent/buy a folder (Tapco or similar) to bend the trim for my house project. I would like to see how difficult this might be before I commit myself. (Simple bends for sofit and facia are the primary needs.) Thanks.

I have the book below.
You can get it from Lindsay Books for $8.95.
It is about making your own sheet metal brake.
Probably has info in it about using it.
My copy is in storage or I would look for you.

Here is a link that might be useful: Sheet Metal Brake book on ebay

Your local rental store should have instructions and/or video tapes of the brake they rent. We rent Tapcos and we have videos available.
