| I am planning a medieval camp for Girl Scouts and read something about copper rubbing. I can't seem to find any information on it on the web. Any help? |

| I did a search for copper rubbings, and found at least these two sites that describe copper and brass rubbings. I see if you tried searching for just copper rubbing, you were really sent off to the wrong planet. Good luck with your project! | The higher heat and more efficient cleaning of the new dishwasher probably stripped off any seasoning on them, and the newly exposed steel surface rusted. If the items were not bought coated (some are teflon coated now), you can probably just use some steel wool to remove the rust, rinse in sink with hot water, and re-season with vegetable oil and bake at 350 for an hour or so. From here on out, it's probably best to handwash plain steel items, even if seasoned. |
