Polish and buff silver jewelry with rock tumbler

Posted by azmom (My Page) on

I recently learned that rock tumbler can be used to buff and polish sterling silver jewelry. The process removes fine scratches and makes the jewelry looks like new.

I went through links on the internet sites. They look interesting. I would like to know if anyone has actually used this method.

Any experience and advice you share will be much appreciated

RE: Polish and buff silver jewelry with rock tumbler

I was checking on utube for info on casting silver. One guy used a rock tumbler for polishing silver after casting. The stuff you put in tumbler you can purchase but he found that the plastic spacers used for laying floor tile worked better than the stuff you can buy...he also used an empty plastic peanut butter jar in the tumbler, you might be able to find it under jewelry casting in silver on utube, didn't save it.
