| Is it possible to weld cast iron to steel effectivly using a stick welder? I tried using 7014 rod. It wasn't pretty. The steel adhesion was fine but it popped off the cast when I pushed on the two pieces.
If anyone has any advice or tips, I would sure appreciate it. I also have a oxy/acetylene torch. Bruce |

| To weld cast iron you need a rod with nickel in it. Check out the site below. http://www.mylincolnelectric.com/Catalog/consumabledatasheet.asp?p=167 74 |
