I am with everyone on this too.. I was able to provide FULL HOT sun and water once a week, even in the winter when it thrived..Here is the catch. It was in a small place, on a shelf, with glass on all sides, where it would get hot in there, even in the dead of winter. It was always in bloom, especially, this time of year. Once I had to switch work places, there was no where to put it, so I put it outdoors in the spring through summer last year, and it never flowered or looked the same after that, even in the hot summer sun. In fact, I lost my plant just last week!!!:-(((( I was watering it exactly the way I use to before, only it was not in a hot sunny place, only in a sunny place where room temps were always just in the 70's, I guess cool by their standards...It rotted out from the stump and collasped..I almost cried.In fact my self worth, was almost bruised too..I felt I failed that plant I had an attachment to.. I learned that next time, I would rather hold back on the watering even though, even if I think the soil is dry, until I can give it HOT sun.. I wish you luck with yours! I wouldn't worry so much about undwatering since it is not getting the hot sun they love and thrive in..That could explain the not so hard trunk and stems..Mine always had a very HARD trunk, when it was getting the heat and sun..Then softened, once the ehat was robbed of it, but not the sun..Maybe they require more hydration when they get the heat and sun together, which could explain the reason for hardness..A well hydrated plant..? I wonder myself.. I am sure it will be alot better once it gets both!I did notice the ones at HD were loosing their firmness too. They have theirs in full sun also..They were stiff when they arrived, and the women told be they were use to growing in hotter conditions too.. I saw those beauties at HD this am, and I was hesitant to buy one, because I wish I could provide desert like conditions in which they thrive on.. P.s..I will say that the only time that my plant even came close to looking as good as it did in the past, was when I had it on the hot tarpped roof in full sun July, until the wind blew it right off..So no more hot tarp.. I am not sure how old this forum is but it seems that not too many read some of the posts here. Anyway, I think what you are going through is pretty normal for peri..I am 48 and my periods have suddenly changed as well. I just got over mine too and it feels as if it is on its way again. I also get the bloating, cramping, irritability, fatigue, and on and on..OH and did I mention nausea??? When was the last time you had your annual check up from your OBGYN? I doesn't hurt to get whatever is bothering you checked out just for peace of mind but I wouldn't worry too much because irregular periods are a sure sign of peri-menopause. Mine are now coming later and later but as soon as it is over I feel like it is coming again!! As for your swollen tender breast,is it just the one breast?

Hello j9sgarden, so as for other symptoms I also had discharge that I thought was Bacterial Vaginosis. I don’t do well with antibiotics and I heard this can also rectify itself. It just was not. Also I had lost my sister this past summer and had to move in with my mother and brother to help us all cope with her loss. So my issues took a back seat. We were all grieving. I started noticing the cramps were getting worse. I was getting flooding during my period for a couple days which I also researched on the web happens to some women during perimenopause with the hormone fluctuations. I was getting my period around every 45 days or so. So there was just a lot of stress in my life and I started researching doctors and finally settled on one though I was so apprehensive and nervous about the appt. Of course the morning I was to go my flooding/period came on full force. The doctor was amazing and still wanted to do a pelvic exam. She spotted the large mass right away and sent me directly to the ER. I was there 15 hrs had 4 pelvic exams and flooded through each one. It was not a good day. They ended up doing a biopsy while I was there. I was beyond frightened during all of it. They basically said it was cancer and a large mass but needed to find out what kind. Since then it has been a roller coaster ride of scans and procedures of not knowing exactly what I was facing. I still have a PET SCAN on the Nov 26. This week we set up and prepare the radiation treatments. I get the tiny tattoos they use to make sure they get the exact areas to treat. I will get radiation 5 days a week for 5 weeks. Every Monday of those 5 weeks I will also get Chemo. The chemo increases/helps the radiation work better. There are 3 different nausea drugs taken on different schedules to really eliminate nausea. They say I may lose some hair but it will be minimal. My chemo drug is Cisplatin. They will also do some radiation internally but start doing it from the outside first. It will fry the ovaries so I will immediately go into menopause. I hope this sheds some light on symptoms and what made me finally go to the doctor. Any other questions I am glad and open to answering. But like I said please just find a Womens Clinic and check any and every concern you may have. Mine was cervical cancer your may not be. But a dedicated womens clinic will make sure you get a thorough examination. Take care ladies.
