mammogram callback

I'm 53, in perimenopause, and had a mammogram last week. My doctor called me last Friday and wanted a diagnostic mammogram and an ultrasound. They found something about 3/4" and well defined. Does anyone know what that indicates? I've tried to find info online and it looks to me like it could be a cyst or fibroid?

The procedures are scheduled for tomorrow (2 hours), and I won't find the results until probably next Wednesday. The process makes this all scarier. It doesn't seem very patient centered.

I don't know what that could mean, I'm sorry, but I wish you well. I hope it turns out to be nothing. Actually, I believe that most breast lumps turn out to be benign.

RE: mammogram callback

Well, it was a shadow. So it was nothing. Thanks for your post MILfromHeck.
