Good idea. It just doesn't make sense to me how I can store all my canna the exact same way and 3/4 be great and the other 1/4 (which is the President) not be. I will dig down a little maybe today and let you know my results. I have purchased these and found the President to often be a little small or dried looking, so I have not given it much thought until now. I was hoping somebody out there maybe knew that if this variety always looked this way or not. I hope mine do "something." I am out of garden budget for the summer and buying more... well, let's just say I don't want to have to join some gardening equivalent to AA or other compulsive habit, and I shouldn't be buying any more bulbs or plants.

How do you figure blood tests can tell if you are done having periods. All blood tests can tell is your hormone levels. It can't tell if you are going to spot a bit. Things are not much different in this regaurd than it was when I went through menopause. I think your doctor was drumming up business and you paid the price. He as much as told you that with his last hurrah remark. A biopsy is usually done if there is a lot of bleeding or some other symptoms, not just a bit of spotting.

Maureen57 I know exactly how you feel. I joined this forum 4 years ago and it saved my sanity. I haven't had a period for 3 years and before it stopped I had had at least 7 years of awful menopause symptoms. I thought I was beginning to get back to normal but in the past month I've been having nausea, dizziness, irritability, mood swings and sweats again! When I see how many others this is happening to I feel like just giving up. As I type this now I am in tears. I have never taken anything the doctor prescribed and only gone down the natural route. I have spent thousands of pounds on vitamins(which I regularly take)and hormone creams. I watch what I eat.What else can I/we do? I said to my husband just the other day that I preferred having periods to this! I'm 53 and don't want the rest of my life to be like this. Its a truly depressing thought. Once again, this forum will be my saving grace as I know I'm not the only one.

Hi ive had a full hysterectomy at 30 now only have 1 ovary after suffering from a range of perimenopasaul symptoms i went and had a blood test to check if i was in fact perimenopausal the bloods came back normal WHAT how can this be , apparently unless your hormones are going crazy at a particular time of the month it wont show up even tho u r peri so just go off your symptoms and how u feel make a record of how u feel at particular times of the month this for me is the best indicator, trusting my own body and instincts and more importantly the symptoms i get, palpatations hot sweats panic attacks crashing fatigue some days especially when i am having palpatations ,running to the loo with weak bladder al these are indicators of perimenopause hope this helps sum ladies out there ok
