extremely low pH cause tomatoes to wilt?
Comments (7)It seems the subject has change a bit since I last checked, but FWIW - Check out what the professionals are doing: http://www.cornellcea.com/handbook_home.htm Cornell has put out a few hydroponic grow handbooks, and they're definitely worth taking a look at. They use rafts to grow their lettuce, too. The lettuce book states PPMs, light regimens, and PH. The PH and ppms are in normal units, but the light regimen is in Mol/day (17 if I remember). I did some research in how to translate this to watts, and I figured this equates to 7, 4' fluorescent bulbs per meter squared on an 18/6 cycle. That's roughly 25 watts per square foot. That's pretty modest if you ask me. Of course Cornell is running CO2, temp controls, and pure O2 bubbling into the water, so maybe Cornell's light regimen doesn't translate into a home grow....See MoreWhat causes tough skins?
Comments (2)I find a long, dry, heat wave can cause it. I noticed it last year with out drought and this year when we had a week or two that were pretty steamy. Last year, once the temps dropped, the new tomatoes didnt have the tough skins. So, I do think as weather improves, you will notice a difference....See MoreDry,itchy flakey skin

Comments (11)I have Sjogrens syndrome plus a few other autoimmune disorders that causes my skin to get really dry and flaky, I have used everything including prescription stuff, but I recently purchased Johnsons creamy cocoa butter and shea baby lotion and the baby oil gel in the same flavor, I have been amazed at how much it has helped me and changed my skin, the texture has even changed. I put the oil gel on right out of the shower still wet to seal the moisture in, I rub the lotion on my arms and legs, feet once or twice a day, I like to do it right before bed. I'm really so surprised at how much it has helped me, more than anything else....See Moresheri60
