RX Relief Discount Card...scam or a real thing?
Comments (186)This first time poster is a 30 year veteran pharmacist, not just some boob trolling the internet with misinformation. These cards are ***ALL*** scams, as a fact. Not a theory. They collect your information, including your health information, AS A FACT, not a theory, and sell it, AS A FACT. They offer ZERO discount which is why most private pharmacies won't accept them. If you haave trouble with PRICING, your best bet is to talk to the pharmacist. If they can do something for you, they probably will, and most, if not ALL pharmacies will match cash prices. The Chain drug stores accept many of these cards in the hopes of driving traffic. The fact that CVS also owns the PBM helps them. Aside from that, these cards, if not in healthcare, would be flatout illegal because they represent fraud. So how do the perforate in healthcare? Because the heathcare system is essentially corrupt from top to bottom. In this case, the card fraudsters petitions CMS to make provision in the Obamacare act that required that hospitals and healthcare organizations to actively pursue means of reducing costs to prescriptions to indigent cash paying patient (forgetting that there should be no cash patients anymore under Obamacare). To fill this check box for Medicare Compliance, these cards are put in the front windows of all these healthcare organization, promoting the fraud. These cards do NOTHING to promote a discount. They reimburse pharmacies NOTHING. They charge the pharmacies to privilege to process the card, which is how they make there money. These are the low life money grubbers in the healthcare economy who rip off the system at everyones expense, and provide ZERO economic benefit and ZERO healthcare value. They just steal... PERIOD....See MoreDealing with heart palpitations
Comments (9)Hi all, I posted this on this site but in another (but same condition) topic heading. Hoping I can get some answers/responses as I,have the same issues with heart palms and BP spikes. I have been checked out by multiple Drs as well as emergency room visit for panic attack and my numbers are normal. Feel like this has got to be menopause related: "I came upon the menopause forum in this site and read the responses you had back in March. Ie heart palps, anxiety, and ringing ears. I too have the exact same symptoms. I am 53 and into menopause. I have elected to go ahead and try hormones as I am at my wits end. I have been on them just over a month and a short while I thought things were looking better but not so the anxiety and ear ringing is back. I have a call in to my Endo Dr.. While I wait for an appointment I was hoping to find some answers. Did any of you have any luck or find any thing to help? I hope you folks are still monitoring this forum as my symptoms. I have tried a few anti depressants/anxiety meds but the side effects are just too much for me to handle and quite frankly I do not want to be on these meds. I feel this is related to menopause - so there must be an answer out there. I have not had much luck with my PCP or GYN, they just look at me and tell me to get some meds and as I said earlier not for me tried them and don't seem to help. I just started with this Endo Dr (he prescribed the hormones) but he is very busy and my 2nd appointment is not until November I am trying to see him sooner with no luck. Any words of wisdom?" Hope to get some responses and thanks ahead...See MoreLeaf Relief Gutter System
Comments (33)I, like most of you have tried several gutter covers. My house has several large trees near it, some are the sweet gum trees that have these prickly balls about 1" in diameter. They will clog your downspout or gutter quickly, it only takes 2 or 3 of them to completely stop the water flow. I have tried some of the reverse flow models but maple tree "helicopters" pretty much eliminated them and I would have had to lower my gutters to make them work properly. I have also tried wire mesh etc. and all have some drawbacks. I installed Leaf-Relief guards on my house myself. They are relatively easy to install. They are very well made, come in 10' lengths instead 3'or 4' and I think they will be the best thing I have tried so far. The lip on the front seems to be a trap for debris but if you watch the cover work, the lip acts as a guide to prevent the water from going over the gutter during a heavy rain. My only issue so far is that my 2-story house has a lower roof over my garage. The builder ran downspouts from the upper roof to the lower roof and the upper roof drains directly onto the lower roof. During a heavy rain the water runs over the top of the Leaf-Relief guards. They can't absorb that much water quickly enough. I e-mailed alcoa and they said that the upper gutters should drain directly into the lower gutters not onto the roof. This is really not that big of an issue, there has to be a substantial rain to overflow this and it is only in an area of about 1 foot. Considering the cost ($3 ft.), I think this will work as well as anything else. There is going to be some maintenance with any of the gutter covers and these will probably be a minimum of effort to maintain. They do still work even if there are leaves on them and they stay relatively clean on their own but will certainly need to be brushed off occasionally, that's better than what I've been dealing with for the last 15 years or so. I hope this helps some of you, I have been dealing with this for a long time, it has gotten so bad for me that I lately have had to clean the gutters everytime rain was predicted in my area. Comments (13)Acupuncture cured Ma's frozen shoulder and my aunt's sciatica. Papa's an MD in Acupuncture, and I preferred the needles to painkillers when my headaches got too bad LOL No change in diet, no herbs. Dad says it takes multiple sittings to be able to notice a difference, but some of his clients reported improvement after the first sitting itself. He stressed the importance of continuing the treatment even if you feel good after the first sitting or a few sittings. Ma's shoulder felt better after the first 3 sittings so she stopped ... and a couple of weeks later took fifteen more sittings. At an acupuncture clinic, I saw low-frequency current being applied to the needles for gentle stimulation (but nobody was screaming in pain LOL). But that I'd never be able to take, LOL. I've heard of acupuncture being used during childbirth for pain-free delivery - no idea if it works....See Morecatherinet
