how long for footings to cure?
Comments (4)Not necessary. The contractor will typically leave the forms in place for a couple of days. It will then take five-seven days to strip the forms and set the foundation wall forming up. During that time the footing concrete will cure sufficiently to take the weight. More critically, be sure the foundation is not backfilled until the first floor is on or there is sufficient bracing in place. Comments (70)Keep working on him. I am more convinced than ever that that is the direction I am heading. I even got a price on new windows yesterday. I may put a few uppers on the range wall but I have not made up my mind. My DH was all about having more and more storage with no real plan for what we would put in there. When I actually looked around, I realized that most of the stuff in the upper cabinets on the sink wall were going to be living somewhere else in the new kitchen. I think the little things I have done that have improved our house have helped my DH trust me a little more. We took down the wall between the kitchen and family room after much complaining from him about "taking down a perfectly good wall". Now, we cannot imagine our house without it. I bought a 36'' Liebherr and DH said "Have I told you how much I love the fridge?". I told him no just to hear him say it again. He sees how much bigger the kitchen is without the giant monster fridge. Just keep throwing some great looking inspiration pictures his way. My DH has come a long way. Best of luck....See MoreSweat Problems, What Color Sheets Should I Buy
Comments (9)Mamapinky0, I really appreciate your response but unfortunately our situation is tricky at best. Cold water is the only option for our washing machine, we also don't have any other options than just regular wash (we live in a foreign country and have a foreign washing machine). We don't own the washer and can't replace it. Its a terrible washer that we hate but is something we can't do anything about. We can't move either (its just way to cost prohibitive and we only have a few more years left). And the dryer, its a combo with the washer and it does an even worse job of drying than it does washing. We do seem to have soft water though and I do have access to some American detergents thankfully. I use Tide Clean & Clear as I have sensitive skin that reacts to fragrances. I also have been adding Oxyclean (the fragrance free kind). I'm pretty sure I'm just going to have to live with masking the stains....See Moreadsouiri
