Disgusted - any advice appreciated

I'm 58 and have been to quite a few doctors and gynos about vaginal dryness/painful intercourse. Tried the vaginal estrogen - made me itchy; started Endau progesterone cream/better for lubrication, but still hurts.

There seems to be no answer except extra lubrication which doesn't help. Tried everything. It seems that my husband can enter me about 2" - after that it seems extremely painful.

One doctor told me, "you may try a urologist or get an ultrasound, but didn't seem positive about either option helping me.

I live in Dade City, FL which is an hour from Tampa and Orlando. Any suggestions to good doctors for this problem?

I don't know of any doctors I could recommend--but I'm wondering if there isn't another brand of estriol cream you could try--perhaps you are allergic to the cream the doctor gave you...or perhaps it comes in a pill--don't know if it does--or if it would work but a doctor or pharmacist should be able to tell you.

Have you tried Astro Glide? It's sold over the counter and it's great.

Update: My tree took a beating from my toddlers today as they decided it would be fun to play in the dirt, rip the roots out of the dirt, at tear up most of the leaves! My poor little tree! So I went ahead and pruned it anyways just to get the damage away. Im waiting on the fertilizer to come in the mail. Hopefully my tree will continue growing and turn out okay!

What are the measurements of the Anthropolgy mirror you are returning? I think it was a good size and would be inclined to get either the first or second choice RH mirror depending on your preference. They will both look great with your chandelier. The third is not worth whatever the additional expense and I don’t think the lines of the fourth mirror are hefty enough. When you refer to the green room pic, do you want to look for a paint color that shade or are you just referring to the pic in general? Also, do you love the fabric on your chairs or are you just going with what is there? I had the seats in my dining room chairs reupholstered a few years back and it was not expensive. I bought the fabric myself and gave it to my upholsterer, which also saved. He came to my house, unscrewed the seats and took them with him so he didn’t have to load up the chairs. I think your fabric is absolutely fine, nothing wrong at all. It just seems like you are looking for a bit of bold in the space and that could be any easy place to get it. Remember if you are placing chairs on either side of the buffet, they are very visible and the seats can add a lot of look, or not to the room. No right or wrong.

OK...so we have some more details. Excellent. Your style and the home's interior suggest transitional or traditional. That usually means a natural wood-look floor (like natural white oak, or maple, etc) would do very well in this home. It would mean a "like for like" replacement of what you have already. The carpet is very light (which means it is a non-entity when it comes to design). That means a natural (unstained) wood floor would look very warm and inviting. I will give a warning about sheet goods (carpet and sheet vinyl...like what you have): They hide TREMENDOUS amounts of subfloor issues underneath them. That's why builders LOVE them. These two products (like what your photos show) can hide the most atrocious substrates. Because of this, I would suggest a subfloor prep cost of $2-$3/sf. If I'm wrong and you can get away with $1-$2/sf then you have saved some money. But if I'm right, your subfloor prep is going to eat a significant amount of your budget. You can always work backwards to figure out your budget for the flooring purchase. 1. Subfloor prep: $3/sf x 2100sf = $6,300 2. Labour for vinyl plank install: $2.50/sf x 2100 = $5250 3. Budget left over: $15,000 - 6300 - 5250 = $3450 4. Budget for flooring material (including 5% waste = 2205sf): $1.57/sf

black. Would basically resemble this shot. see the black support in the corner? Make sure to pick the right shade for your lighting. I have used Wrought Iron inside and out. Not listed above is Behr-Beluga. it's a very nice, rich black. have used it on my wall at home. Also, new window treatments please. Those white ones do nothing for your space. if you like that inset style, try something like this (Piroette or Silouette) in a darker shade or some dark bamboo shades cellular blinds in a black licorice I was trying to find some brick lofts w/black to show you how it looks. Look at the windows, the decor and on a few of them, the art and the industrial style book shelves. don't forget some sort of wood accents. either w/furntiure, beams, shelving. black looks so good w/the wood tried to find pics w/black support beams or black staircases w/the brick These two are the same loft. so pretty tried to photoshop that window and drape, on to yours w/badly done black column! Here's that book shelf. love this. and super easy to DIY looks like this close up Art, Next to the staircase you could try some black and white art w/white frames, or black frames And, love the idea of painting the ceiling black and doing some type of wood, like these beams. (notice the dark blinds on this one too, and the industrial book shelf)

I know you posted awhile ago but just in case you check back....I have had the same problem and know what you are going through! Sex is sooooo
painful I think I would rather go through labor and delivery first!!!!! My dh has been so supportive and patient but I think I have found an answer. I got a prescription from my Dr. for Estring. It is a ring you insert for 3 months and it delivers estrogen inside the vagina just for the dryness. I told the Dr. I would give it a try and she said if that didn't work for me I could try Vagifem, a tablet that you insert with a plunger that also is for the dryness. I finally feel like I have "targeted" something that will deal with just the problem of the dryness. I don't want to take oral HRT and I don't want to deal with messy creams. I have tried so many lubricants and none of them really help. I will post after a month or so to give opinion if it is working for me or not. Anyway, please know you are not alone and ask your Dr. about these products!!

SEX, I quit having any urge and don't care anymore. I think menopause has nipped my sexual urge altogether.
