Update: My tree took a beating from my toddlers today as they decided it would be fun to play in the dirt, rip the roots out of the dirt, at tear up most of the leaves! My poor little tree! So I went ahead and pruned it anyways just to get the damage away. Im waiting on the fertilizer to come in the mail. Hopefully my tree will continue growing and turn out okay!

My daughter used that tile in her bathroom. Her cabinets are a light grey. Your picture makes your cabinets look white but that might be just the photo or how it looks compared to the quartz. My daughter likes contrast so she actually used a black quartz for her countertop. She used 24x24 tiles on her floor and 12x24 on her tub/shower walls. She went with the matte finish for both. At the time she did her bathroom, the glossy finish Florentine Carrara samples she had looked quite a bit different (in the undertones of the white background color) from the matte tiles. Be sure to look at both types of tiles side by side. Also the gloss tiles are ceramic while the matte tiles are porcelain. Here are a couple shots of her bathroom It’s hard to see the subtle brown in the tile pics I think it would look better if you do not use a marble look quartz. It obviously won’t look like the tiles so it may end up looking like a miss match. I love the look of this quartz. It has sparkle in it which adds some glam and it would provide some contrast but not be as dark as a black quartz. I have seen it in person and think it’s beautiful. It’s Cambria’s Minera. The slab view on Cambria’s website does not do it justice at all. Each quartz company has quite a few shades of grey with different looks. Good luck.

What are the measurements of the Anthropolgy mirror you are returning? I think it was a good size and would be inclined to get either the first or second choice RH mirror depending on your preference. They will both look great with your chandelier. The third is not worth whatever the additional expense and I don’t think the lines of the fourth mirror are hefty enough. When you refer to the green room pic, do you want to look for a paint color that shade or are you just referring to the pic in general? Also, do you love the fabric on your chairs or are you just going with what is there? I had the seats in my dining room chairs reupholstered a few years back and it was not expensive. I bought the fabric myself and gave it to my upholsterer, which also saved. He came to my house, unscrewed the seats and took them with him so he didn’t have to load up the chairs. I think your fabric is absolutely fine, nothing wrong at all. It just seems like you are looking for a bit of bold in the space and that could be any easy place to get it. Remember if you are placing chairs on either side of the buffet, they are very visible and the seats can add a lot of look, or not to the room. No right or wrong.

Clearly, the designer created the square space to the left of the kitchen for the dining area. Placing the door to the flat in the middle of the wall between the kitchen and living area makes an invisible divider between the two spaces, and you can go with that, esp. if watching tv is an important part of your lifestyle. -- I can't make out dimensions, and where the windows are, and that is important to furniture placement. I find that it helps to write out what functions you need the space to provide. Would you also like a small writing desk and chair? Is there a window where you'd like a cozy chair for one to curl up with a book? - Do you entertain a lot? If so, how can you create an easy flow with more than just a couple people moving around the space? The recessed spaces in each corner of the living room would be a natural place to put shelving, esp. if there will be a tv. With a tv, I agree with George about putting the sofa with it's back to the kitchen. Make sure it has a low back. I would also put a sofa table (long, narrow) behind it. This is more appealing than having the back of the sofa in the middle of the room. It can be a place for fresh flowers, being a centerpiece in the room, and lamps, for soft lighting now can be in the middle of the room as the plug can go between the table and the sofa, and by extension cord run under an area rug to a wall outlet. It can be very functional as well for mail, keys, etc. if you don't have a small table near the door for that. Consider a thin, long cabinet instead of the sofa table for extra storage, or a wine cabinet . . . whatever fits your lifestyle. If your just using the space for gathering with friends you can spread any other furniture, usually chairs out to the sides of the sofa. This will give a more spacious feel. However, I would consider chairs that swivel, if tv is an important activity with guests. That way, like George said, they can face the kitchen, but would also be able to turn easily to watch tv. Also in that case, I'd place them equidistant between the wall and the couch. But if you want a reading chair in a corner, esp. if you choose built-in bookshelves for those recessed niches, or a writing desk under a window, etc., you can pull those chairs in tighter, defining the central space and carving out other cozy places in the same space. If tv isn't important, you might try a corner 'L' shaped sofa, a sectional, in the left-corner, facing the entire space and the kitchen for engaged conversation during cooking. Then if you wanted a dining table in the living space near the front door, you could use the kitchen counter as your breakfast nook and make a small writing desk over to the left of the kitchen where any papers etc, may not be so visible when entertaining. -- It all depends on the function you want the space to provide. As I said, I can't read the dimensions, so I would start with just a couple essential pieces of furniture that are to scale in the space. Then see what else is needed. Over crowding and buying furniture too large for a space are common mistakes. I had a decorator help me once and she really had me over buy, spending way more than I needed and having much regret of the frustration of not being happy and also then needing to get rid of expensive furniture that didn't work for my family and the space. -- Obviously a commission on furniture purchases was going on, and I wasn't getting good advice.
