Symptoms just prior to menopause?

| I am over 55 and still have regular periods. After my last period ended a week ago, I've been spotting with brown spots. A doctor once told me this is dried blood. Has anyone noticed any of this type of spotting just prior to finally not getting a period? I saw my gyn 3 months ago and everything checked out okay. |

| yeah...that's the way it goes...at first, my periods started shrinking... down to one day (full blast) now I spot for days on end... the last one, I spotted for 10 days... I have an appt with the gyno today. :o) It could also be an indication of fibroids... which is part of my problem. |
