Horribly bad leg pains!!!
Comments (13)I started working very young for neighbor that opened a drive-in place so I was the carhop & cook,so lot of running, he was just opening so couldn't afford 2 people. I worked 7 days a week 12 hr days. I was 14 at the time. I cried myself to sleep. Way before that I was only kid in school with "growing pains" my legs hurt a lot. I was very active, hung by knees from trees, rode bike 11 miles around lake we lived at lot of afternoons in summer.Had younger bros. helped take care of as mom sick a lot. Ice skated on frozen lake in winter. Then started working at young age. Well, fast forward to about 40, I had been a stay at home mom & became widow so had to do odd jobs & all the work at my house including yard. Leg pain was back. I started on 800 I.U. Vit. E. It worked & has for 29 yrs. My MIL had tried everything for leg pain & even had veins stripped & other treatments. I told her to try it. Worked for her. She went in to her dr. for something else & he wanted to know why she was walking so much better. She was in her 70's at the time. He said seeing was believing so he said he would tell his patients to give it a try. A yr or more ago news had report out that Vit. E was worthless. I thought I would try stopping it & see what happened. I survived the 1st night but felt kind of lousy all day, wasn't sure what was wrong. Went to bed that night & pain was so bad I had to get back up, I remembered that I had that pain before I started taking the Vit. E so I took it & laid legs on heating pad & had a rather miserable night. By the next night after having had 800 IU in morning, I was back to normal & slept all night. Some of these reports I wonder about, I think a lot of people in health care are interested in making money for themselves & don't want people to actually get well & put them out of business. (Drs. call it "politics") I"ve used Nature Made or Your Life & lately found Sam's club works just fine take 2- 400 IU at breakfast. Bottle has 500 in it & I think under $12. Give it a try & hope it works for you!...See MoreJoint, Muscle and bone Pain
Comments (18)I am 66 and have had the same problem for years. First they diagnosed it as fibromyalgia, later polymyalgia rheumatica. I finally got to the point that I was on Vicodin. prednisone. I always thought it had to be due to something nutritional. I am a registered nurse. I started my own diagnostics since mainstream medicine doesn't know anything about nutrition and wasn't interested in learning. As some of the other posters did, I started removing medicine that the doctors had me and it began to lessen. Lastly I began taking Youngevity products and within 30 days. no pain. I am no longer on prescribed pharmaceuticals except occasional pain medication at night when I have overdone. I am not sure yet if this will go away or if some of the damage is not reversible. When I stop taking the vitamin/trace minerals, boom it all comes back. You will always have to take the supplements because our soil no longer contains these 90 vit/minerals since we stopped adding wood ash to our gardens once newer methods of heating houses came into practice. But what you save in polypharmacy given to you by doctors will pay for the supplements. Read the Creator of Youngevity's book "Dead doctors don't lie". As a 50 year OR nurse, I concur with most of what he states. Good luck...See MoreSudden Swelling of Joints & Leg Muscle Pain
Comments (9)I woke up with right hand swelling and within weeks the swelling included the left hand. Then it was the right and left foot, right and left knee, back of right and left knee, legs, both forearms and elbows, swollen veins under tongue, swollen eyes from the beginning. My hands will not close so I have no grip but I do have muscle strength. Mid Feb 2011, I started to get short of breath. I do have speckled ANA antibodies but that is it. Nothing else in my blood work is abnormal. They did 2 weeks of in hospital testing (Doppler of legs, vascular study, lymphatic study, CT stomach, Ultrasound stomach and liver, X-ray chest, Echo of heart, pelvic ultrasound, mammogram, CT brain). The doc are giving me prednisone to deal with the swelling symptoms but I think the drug has made me as weak as a kitten and raised my resting heart beat since being sick from 72 bpm to 115 bpm. I think the docs are on the wrong track. Not one doctor will agree to a body MRI. All the symptoms just came on too fast. I will be 50 this year. I am hoping someone out there can relate and share their answers....See Moreleg pain
Comments (1)Hi beauty, how're you doing. Hope you had a good holiday and feel a bit rested. I'm actually quite glad to say I dont suffer from leg cramps during the night. I'm still hot and cold which is really bizarre. Some nights (and days) I just can't get warm at all. It has to be really warm outside for me to feel comfortable. I've been feeling quite good recently, but whilst I was out earlier I started to feel that odd light headed way I sometimes get. Its a horrible feeling and quite scary. It also comes with a pressure in my head. Not quite a headache but something. Its never bloody ending!! I've cut down my working hours now which is great and I'm doing stuff from home. I screen print and its really relaxing cos I don't have to put up with the crap from colleagues or customers. I'm hoping to do it full time and give up my job completely. We're off to Amsterdam for a week on the 19th. Can't wait. Hopefully have a hot holiday in August too. Could do with some sunshine. Keep well in the meantime and take care. I'm sure the cramps will pass. Susan...See MoreLinda Giorgi
