Question about Restless Leg or pain in the ball of my foot
Comments (1)Hi libbyliz, I have fibromyalgia, and developed alot of that buzzing everywhere.....scalp, legs, feet, intestines... I think you might have 2 different problems going on. I think you need to see a podiatrist about your foot problem. Sounds like you could use some metatarsal support. And who knows.....maybe the buzzing and the foot problem are related, in that you're probably stressing your entire leg. I have foot problems and knee problems, and that can make my entire leg ache. Another thing that might help you is to take larger amounts of the B vitamins. Find a good multi-B vitamin and take it every day. Also take a good sublingual B12 vitamin. When I used to have alot of funky neuro symptoms in my legs, my neurologist had me get a ferritin level. He said its more specific than just an iron level and he's seen people with normal Ferritin levels who actually need more to get rid of their symptoms. I took iron for awhile, and it helped. So you might consider adding an iron pill to your daily intake too. Do you have sleep apnea? If you do, and you begin to use a CPAP machine, you may find that your RLS eases up. Its curious.......I only get it in the evenings if I eat sugar/carbs in the evening. Are you starting through menopause? I got tons of funky symptoms during perimenopause....See MoreSudden Swelling of Joints & Leg Muscle Pain
Comments (9)I woke up with right hand swelling and within weeks the swelling included the left hand. Then it was the right and left foot, right and left knee, back of right and left knee, legs, both forearms and elbows, swollen veins under tongue, swollen eyes from the beginning. My hands will not close so I have no grip but I do have muscle strength. Mid Feb 2011, I started to get short of breath. I do have speckled ANA antibodies but that is it. Nothing else in my blood work is abnormal. They did 2 weeks of in hospital testing (Doppler of legs, vascular study, lymphatic study, CT stomach, Ultrasound stomach and liver, X-ray chest, Echo of heart, pelvic ultrasound, mammogram, CT brain). The doc are giving me prednisone to deal with the swelling symptoms but I think the drug has made me as weak as a kitten and raised my resting heart beat since being sick from 72 bpm to 115 bpm. I think the docs are on the wrong track. Not one doctor will agree to a body MRI. All the symptoms just came on too fast. I will be 50 this year. I am hoping someone out there can relate and share their answers....See Moreleg pain
Comments (1)Hi beauty, how're you doing. Hope you had a good holiday and feel a bit rested. I'm actually quite glad to say I dont suffer from leg cramps during the night. I'm still hot and cold which is really bizarre. Some nights (and days) I just can't get warm at all. It has to be really warm outside for me to feel comfortable. I've been feeling quite good recently, but whilst I was out earlier I started to feel that odd light headed way I sometimes get. Its a horrible feeling and quite scary. It also comes with a pressure in my head. Not quite a headache but something. Its never bloody ending!! I've cut down my working hours now which is great and I'm doing stuff from home. I screen print and its really relaxing cos I don't have to put up with the crap from colleagues or customers. I'm hoping to do it full time and give up my job completely. We're off to Amsterdam for a week on the 19th. Can't wait. Hopefully have a hot holiday in August too. Could do with some sunshine. Keep well in the meantime and take care. I'm sure the cramps will pass. Susan...See MoreMuscle pain, funny feeling, hand and foot pain
Comments (6)Hi purplesky i too have joint pain mostly in my legs like awful restlessness growing pains and i get pins and needles in my feet and hands and my shoulders ache , i have had blood tests done but they do not show up anything different with my hormones yet but my doc says im definatly peri , i have days when i feel totally weird and i feel like ive got some horrible disease even tho i probably havent its amazing what havoc hormones wreak on us ist it, i think its much more confusing to gauge where your at with the monthly cycle thing and symptoms when youve had a full hysterectomy like i have because of the absence of periods you know what im mean , the doctor reckons its difficult to get anything from the blood in peri that indicates a positive result because bloods nearly always show up normal LH and FSH even though most of the time its actually altered , the symtoms dont seem to have any fixed pattern really and are quite changable do you find that...See MoreLinda Giorgi
